Andre Romell Young was born on February 18, 1965. In 1976, Young began attending the school, but due to the activity of criminal gangs in the vicinity of the school, it had to be changed.
In 1986, Dr. Dre met rapper Ice Cube, with whom he recorded several songs for the Ruthless Record label. Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Arabian Prince, and MC Ren later formed a group called "N.W.A." The group worked in the then new genre of "gangster rap", recording aggressive music.
After a financial conflict with Eazy-E, Dr. Dre left the group.
Dre has released only two solo albums in his 20-year musical career, and his third album Detox, according to the musician, should be his last.
